EVENT 1 | Webinar “MIRRI Membership: Boosting research and innovation in Health, Agro-food, Environment and Energy”

Aims
The webinar aims to bring the added-value of MIRRI to light and encourage international cooperation among Research Infrastructures (RIs) in Europe and Latin America. The session will also take the opportunity to briefly present funding sources, i.e., Horizon Europe, that are available to facilitate cross-continental collaboration.
Who can join?
The webinar is open to all participants that harbour interest in learning more about European RIs, in particular, MIRRI as a pan-European RI. The main beneficiaries of the webinar are foreseen to be representatives from countries/governments or intergovernmental organisations addressing Research and Development, as well as representatives from microbial Biological Resource Centres (mBRCs), Culture Collections (CCs), universities or research institutions potentially interested in joining MIRRI as members.

EVENT 2 | Workshop “International collaboration with MIRRI through new opportunities from the Horizon Europe programme”
Date and platform – 17 June 2021, 14:00-16:00 CEST | ZOOM
Aims
The key aims of the workshop are:
– Provide an overview of the opportunities presented in Horizon Europe that correlate to the domains of MIRRI: Health & Food, Agro-Food, and Environment & Energy;
– Present an overview of MIRRI’s Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda 2021-2030;
– Formulate synergies among different innovation actors in the above-mentioned domains with the aim of jointly pursuing relevant Horizon Europe calls.
Who can join?
The workshop is open to anyone who demonstrates interest in international cooperation in the areas of Health & Food, Agro-Food, and Environment & Energy and funding opportunities in Europe. However, the main beneficiaries are foreseen to be scientific research infrastructures and academic institutions, mBRCs and CCs, experts from bioindustry sectors, students and researchers from life sciences and biotechnology, policy makers and government/Member State representatives addressing Research and Development.
